Martindale-Nolo is part of the Martindale-Avvo family of market-leading brands designed to help law firms grow their practice. Martindale-Avvo offers comprehensive legal marketing solutions including real-time lead generation, online legal profiles, live chat, website services, and lead intake and case management tools.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Martindale-Nolo’s services are currently listed within subpages of the Nolo site. Users rarely access this information due to it being within the footer menu of the site leading to very few page views. Back end users want to be able to make regular updates to the content without going through the Nolo team to do so. 


How might we create a robust site that encourages lawyers to establish an online presence while developing a seamless back end experience?

PERSONA DEVELOPMENT

A primary persona was crafted to embody the lawyer who would be searching for a product such as the ones offered on Martindale-Nolo.

Devon Greene
Age: 28
Occupation: Criminal Defense Attorney
Location: Philadelphia

A recent graduate of Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, Devon decided to use a portion of his savings to start his own law firm. He aspires to own the top Criminal Defense firm in Philidelphia. He understands the importance of the internet to generate a presence in the legal world but needs a marketing plan to begin. He’s looking to manage a minimum of 45 new clients within his first two years.

Goals:

  • Publish 2 new PI articles every month

PROPOSED SOLUTION

  1. Information Architecture needs improvements

  2. Add a page for individual products & specific solutions

  3. Add more color & readable fonts

  4. Make sure clients can view software before committing to the product
